Sports Illustrated and the National Association of Black Journalists Sports Task Force have wrapped up negotiations on a new scholarship for black women interested in careers in sports journalism. The scholarship would be two ā€“ 1 year scholarships for $5K each to a female entering her senior year and is interested in sports journalism. The first recipient would be chosen in the spring of 2009 to receive the scholarship in the Fall of 2009.
